Wednesday Track Session 7th December 2011
A word from the coach... very poetic and ............cruel
A great silence descended over the Gods of The Ennis Tri club track group as I announced the intended session, deep inhalations of cold crisp air stuttered down windpipes.... As a cheeky giggle escaped my lips, I saw for the first time this season, Real fear take hold in the eyes of men! 3(1mile,4x400m) off 1min. Excuses where voiced but questioned by the"boys" the secret leaders the "ladies" just got on with it, the winds stayed calm, although there was no rain, puddles of began to form from sweaty tears. Primed athletic noose, the most fragile but most dangerous muscle of all, the brain was only being engaged by a few, those few the crave victory in the war, not a victory in a little battle on a cold night in december, the titans - those who stuck to time targets will be the real victors, the real champions come the war for personal victory for podiums for club pride
Well done to all ;)
