Ennis Tri Club is running two duathlons in 2012, on March 11th and April 1st (both Sundays).  The distances are 2.7k run / 16.85k cycle / 2.4k run.  Online entry is now open via the Triathlon Ireland website.

The races are targeted toward those who have never done a duathlon or triathlon before, although if you've done one before you're most welcome too.

Race essentials for the day are runners, a bicycle and a bike helmet.  All entrants will be provided with timing chips that will give split results for the cycle leg, both runs and transitions. The course details are available in the documents listed below.

The schedule on race days will be:

• Race Registration 8:30 - 10:00am
• Race Briefing 10:15am sharp
• Race Start 10:30am sharp

Online entry is available by clicking here.  Entrants must be 16 or over and the cost of entry is €20 for each race.

As this is a Triathlon Ireland scantioned race, you will also need to purchase a one-day license (ODL) from them (€5) for each race if you are not a full Triathlon Ireland member.  Please visit the Triathlon Ireland website for details on how to purchase a license.

Getting There

On the Ennis by-pass turn off at exit 12 (Kilrush/Ennistymon) towards Ennis.  Stay on this road, straight through four roundabouts, all the way to the Lahinch Road roundabout.  At this roundabout (on a T-junction), take a right and then take the very next left.  In less than 1km, you'll pass a crossroads and the entrance to Lees Road will be just up on your left.  See map below.
