The Dolfun Duathlon held on the 3rd July last was a great success with competitors from Limerick, Galway & of course Clare. We had a few Ennis Tri Club members and the times were all very respectable. Our senior winner was Kevin Shalloo with a time of 52:15. The male novice, who we hope to recruit, finished in a time of 51:55. Well done to David Brew. Female senior winner was Sinead Walsh of Limerick Tri Club with a time of 59:21:and our female novice winner was Fiona Griffin of West Clare Tri at 1:07:36. We had over 50 competitors for our 1st event and hope to possibly host another before the seasons end. We would especially like to thank our sponsors and also our marshals and the Gardai for their invaluable assistance on the day. A special thanks to David Wade of Precision Timing for his input and advice.
Needless to say the post race celebrations went on most of the night and thanks to Crotty’s Bar for their support and food after the event. A great day all round.
