Last Saturday I joined 19 others at Rossleven to go out on the Saturday morning cycle.  We had newcomers and seasoned cyclists alike with us.  We quickly split into two groups - one undertaking 40K and the other  60K.  I must say that the tips for cycling in a group and the general pace were excellent.  A stretch for me which is, after all, why I do it.

I would advocate more of the same, perhaps meeting in the East or the West of the county periodically to test ourselves on The Burren or Scarriff.
