This was a good race to get my 2012 Duathlon season under way.

5km/22.5km/5km in Ashford,Wicklow.

The run was flat on a road surface, and was well marshalled.  

Originally, the cycle route was due to include a stretch on the N11, but the road works were not cleared in time - so it was adjusted the day before to include three challenging climbs.

Ennis Tri was well represented with Jude and Keith coming in the top 15 overall.  

I would recomment this course for anyone at the club.  Accommodation locally was reasonable and meant I had the chance to watch the rugby before the race.

I'm just waiting now to find out where the Europeans are this year.  For any of you hoping to qualify - goodluck
